General annotation (Comments)

Function

Auxin receptor that mediates Aux/IAA proteins proteasomal degradation and auxin-regulated transcription. Involved in embryogenesis regulation by auxin. Confers sensitivity to the virulent bacterial pathogen P.syringae. Mediates glucose repression in yeast.

Pathway

Protein modification; protein ubiquitination.

Subunit structure

Part of a SCF (SKP1-cullin-F-box) protein ligase complex. Interacts with CUL1, SKP1A/ASK1 and SKP1B/ASK2. Interacts with Aux/IAA proteins (IAA7 and IAA12) in an auxin-dependent manner.

Subcellular location

Nucleus.

Tissue specificity

Ubiquitous.

Induction

Partially repressed by miR393a (microRNA) in response to flg-22 (flagellin-derived peptide 22).

Sequence similarities

Contains 1 F-box domain.

Contains 16 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats.
